HUMANITY'S GOAL
I sense that humanity's goal is truth, unity, prosperity and peace.
Competition is good only if it's friendly competition.
A spirit of unity is needed to achieve cooperation and prevent harmful competition and to achieve peace and prosperity for all.
Truth is needed to help prevent harmful competition.
Sociocracy is the best means I know of to achieve all of humanity's goals.
Money used as a means of exchange is fairly efficient for advancing toward prosperity, but it also promotes unfriendly competition, which prevents prosperity for most people and results in hoarding by the ruling class.
The ruling class needs to be converted to sociocracy in order to end the hoarding and advance toward prosperity for all.
I don't know how the ruling class can be converted to sociocracy, but if sociocracy continues to prove successful for others, then the ruling class may be converted by observing those successes.
PLANNING HELPS ACHIEVE GOALS
I learned that the way to achieve a goal is to start by writing down the goal and a chain of actions most likely to achieve the goal.
Start writing the chain of actions in reverse order from the future to the present.
If the goal is to run a mile, the chain of actions needed is to run one more step when we're one step away from the goal.
The same action is repeated for every step before that from finish to start.
For most goals there are various actions that need to be taken, instead of doing the same action repeatedly.
To start a sociocratic nonprofit, there are numerous different steps to take.
But first, is the sociocratic nonprofit itself a step that part of humanity needs to take to achieve its goal of prosperity for all?
My impression is that the answer is yes, it is needed and it may be the most important step at this point.
It seems worthwhile to see our work as part of this larger effort toward prosperity for all.
My impression is also that our nonprofit and similar ones could spread like wildfire once a few key people/groups get the hang of sociocracy.
STEPS TO HUMANITY’S GOAL
I was taught in WishCraft that planning starts with the goal and builds future steps from the goal in reverse order down to the present.
So here's a potential stairway to Humanity's Goal. Notice that I'm starting with the goal and building the stairway of steps down to an action that's doable now.
Goal: PROSPERITY FOR ALL
---After: ALL GOVERNMENTS ADOPT SOCIOCRACY
------After: MANY NEIGHBORHOODS ADOPT SOCIOCRACY
---------After: MOST NONPROFITS ADOPT SOCIOCRACY
------------After: ABUNDANCE NETWORKING COOP & OTHERS PROMOTE SOCIOCRACY
---------------After: WE ORGANIZE A.N.C. & USE VIDEOS ETC TO PROMOTE SOCIOCRATIC COOPS
ANC GOAL: SOCIOCRATIC COOPS
The bottom step is the one that can be taken soon. The steps above the bottom would be taken afterward.
My thinking is that the main coops needed may be: 1. income or business coops, 2. health coops, and 3. political coops for ending corruption.
So let's build a stairway to this near-term goal.
Goal: A.N.C. NONPROFIT
---After: GETTING MEMBERS WHO CAN EXPLAIN & PERSUADE VIA VIDEOS & OTHER COMMUNICATIONS
------After: MAKING TEMPLATES FOR STARTING BUSINESS, HEALTH & POLITICAL COOPS
---------After: SETTING UP A VIDEO CHANNEL & WEBSITE/S WITH DONATION PAGE/S
------------After: ORGANIZING A 6+ MEMBER CORE GROUP
---------------After: INVITING MORE PEOPLE TO JOIN & HOLDING MEETINGS
SOCIOCRACY FUN
I asked A.I. what may be fun in sociocracy and got this reply.
In a sociocratic cooperative, there are plenty of enjoyable aspects that make the experience both fulfilling and engaging. Here are some fun elements you might encounter.
{AGREEING} Collaborative Decision-Making: Sociocracy encourages active participation in decision-making. It’s like solving puzzles together! You discuss proposals, address objections, and find creative solutions as a team.
Circle Meetings: Circle meetings can be surprisingly enjoyable. Imagine a mix of brainstorming sessions, friendly debates, and problem-solving gatherings. The structured rounds allow everyone to share their thoughts, ensuring that no one feels left out.
{ROLES} Role Play: Assigning roles within circles can be fun. Be the facilitator, secretary, or policy proposer. Embrace these roles and learn from each other.
{PRACTICE} Learning and Growth: Sociocracy encourages continuous learning. Dive into topics like consent, double-linking, and governance. It’s like leveling up in a cooperative RPG!
{NETWORKING} Community Building: Building connections with fellow coop members is rewarding. Celebrate achievements, share stories, and create a sense of belonging.
{CHALLENGES} Random Events: Unexpected challenges (like objections during consent) keep things interesting. Adapt and find creative solutions.
{DIARY} Narrative Quests: Imagine your coop as a grand adventure. Each decision contributes to the cooperative’s epic tale.
Sociocracy isn’t just about rules; it’s about creating a vibrant, supportive community.🌟🤝🏽
