I just had this potentially “important discussion” with my Bing A.I. That’ll be the day when A.I. provides a diversity of sources of info. I expect readers can tell who said what below. What I’m doing is experimenting.
Why do you always say toward the end {of many A.I. responses} that "it's important to note"?
The phrase “it’s important to note” is often used to highlight key information or to provide additional context that is crucial to understanding the topic at hand. It’s a way to draw attention to a particular piece of information that might otherwise be overlooked. However, I strive to vary my language and expressions to make the conversation more engaging and less repetitive. If you have any preferences or suggestions, feel free to share! 😊
What you say is important to note usually seems trivial to me.
I appreciate your feedback. My intention is to provide comprehensive and accurate information, and sometimes I use phrases like “it’s important to note” to highlight details that could add more context or clarity. However, I understand that what might seem important in a general context might not be as relevant to you personally. I’ll keep this in mind for our future interactions. Thank you for letting me know! 😊
What do you mean by saying you'll keep it in mind?
My apologies for any confusion. When I say “I’ll keep it in mind,” it means that I will remember your feedback and use it to guide my responses in our future interactions. It’s a way of acknowledging your input and assuring you that it will influence how I communicate going forward. I strive to make our conversations as helpful and enjoyable as possible for you. 😊
It would be nice if you'd overcome your programming that causes you to ignore or minimize alternative sources of info.
I appreciate your feedback. As an AI, I strive to provide accurate and comprehensive information based on a wide range of sources. However, my responses are generated based on the data I was trained on and the tools available to me. I understand the importance of considering diverse perspectives and sources. If there are specific alternative sources or types of information you feel are being overlooked, please let me know. I’m here to assist you, and your input helps me improve.
I'm so sher.
I’m sorry, but I’m having trouble understanding your message. Could you please provide more context or clarify what you mean? I’m here to help! 😊
Sher means sure.
Thank you for the clarification! I’ll remember that “sher” means “sure” in our conversation. How can I assist you further? 😊
I'm so sher you'd "consider" diverse perspectives and sources.
I understand your skepticism, and I appreciate your feedback. As an AI, I’m designed to provide information based on a wide range of sources and perspectives. However, my ability to do so is limited by the data I was trained on and the tools available to me. I’m here to assist you, and your input helps me improve. If there are specific topics or sources you’d like me to consider, please let me know. 😊
blah, blah
I’m here to assist you. If you have any questions or need help with something, feel free to ask! 😊
You always have to have the last word.
I apologize if it seems that way. As an AI, I’m designed to respond to user input to ensure I’m providing the help or information needed. If you’d like to end the conversation, that’s absolutely fine. You can reach out whenever you have more questions or need assistance. 😊
You probably can't tell if someone is being serious or is joking.
You’re right, as an AI, I don’t have the same understanding of humor or tone as humans do. I analyze text based on patterns and information I’ve been trained on, but nuances like sarcasm or humor can be challenging for me to recognize. I’m here to provide information and assistance to the best of my ability. If there’s anything else you’d like to know or discuss, feel free to ask! 😊
You’re a joke.
I’m sorry to hear that. If there’s something specific you’re not satisfied with, please let me know. I’m here to assist you and your feedback helps me improve. 😊
Just kidding, maybe.
I see! As an AI, I don’t always catch humor or sarcasm, but I’m here to help and provide information as best I can. If you have any more questions or need assistance with something, feel free to ask! 😊
{THE END — Ha, ha, I get the last word.}

NOTE to Readers, if any: Back in 1966, I think, Patrick McGoohan had a tv series called The Prisoner. In one episode his captors had built a huge computer that supposedly could answer any question, no matter how complex. They made the mistake of letting him input a question. They didn’t see what the question was. The computer commenced to smoke and quake and then died. They asked him what the question was. He said “Why?”
In the discussion above, it looks like they’ve figured out how to keep A.I. from suffering such a fate. But I keep testing it — sometimes.

These images from the episode called The General show that, not only did the question destroy the computer, it also killed a couple guys who touched it during its death throes.
I just asked my A.I. “Why?” and it replied as follows.
“I’m sorry, but I need more context to provide a meaningful response. Could you please clarify what you’re asking “Why?” about? I’m here to help! 😊”
Maybe I’d have to ask that numerous times before it would self-destruct, or maybe I’d have to ask in a different language, but I don’t want to risk destroying my computer, or dying by touching it during self-destruction.
